Andy Warhol: Script for the Video

Andy Warhol's famous portrait of Marilyn Monroe shows a lot of motion and pain. He is a pop artist who uses bright colors. You can see that Andy Warhol painted her lips blue. This is a non-representational use of color. It makes her lips look cold. How do different colors make you feel?

I never thought about how her blue lips make her look cold. What an interesting interpretation of Andy Warhol's use of color. Why do you think certain colors make us feel different emotions? (For example, why does blue feel cold and sad and red feels hot and passionate or angry?)
